Smash up into crumbs about half a bag of pretzels till you have 2 cups worth. I used the bottom of a metal measuring cup to smash mine. It’s quite therapeutic, really. Mix in 1 Tbsp sugar and stir in 1/4 c of melted butter, then press into a 9×13 pan. Cream 1 c sugar and 8 oz. cream cheese together…fold in 8 oz. Cool Whip (1 container), then plop globs all over on the crust and smooth out. (It works better than pouring cuz the pretzel crust doesn’t get picked up and moved all about unevenly.) Then dissolve 6 oz. strawberry jello into 2 c boiling water. Add 1 c cold water and a ton of sliced strawberries. The more, the better >:}. But approximately two 10 oz pkgs strawberries. I prefer fresh strawberries, cuz the frozen ones are all mushy when you thaw them, but it doesn’t really matter unless you’re spoiled like me and have a garden to know the difference. Muahahaaa Chill the jello until it’s partially thickened, then pour over the cream cheese layer. Chill more, then top with Cool Whip as thick as you like (I used 3/4 a container.)
