You can call me Aim, and I enjoy living creatively as a wife, mom, and homemaker. My passion is intentional living, something that can transport anyone who is overwhelmed in survival mode to his or her ideal creative zone. I’ll be sharing what I’m learning on my journey to greater simplicity, organization, and productivity, and health–both familial and physical. I want to appreciate life and live it fully, making it more enjoyable for myself, my family, and those around me.
As I pursue my own health, I want to share what I learn with you! Anybody on a health journey knows that positive change is hard earned, and often a doctor’s office is not the place we’ve made the biggest discoveries or found the most beneficial advice. I am honest about my struggles as well as the triumphs, because in my experience, when others have opened up about their difficult experiences I see that I am not alone. That in itself is a balm for the soul, even if my situation doesn’t improve from the knowledge. The parallels in our journeys, however, often do help me to get a deeper understanding of my own situation.
In the past 10 years I’ve launched into detoxing my cabinets (especially body products) for different health reasons. Then after having kids, the past 5 years I’ve been keenly aware of mental health topics such as Postpartum Adjustment Disorder (a.k.a. PPD), Anxiety, Insomnia, and Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD). PPD, anxiety, insomnia, and PMDD in my experience have all been mainly hormonally based in nature, though often are combination issues that can be further improved by sorting out psychological elements, as I have found to be true personally as well. As a mother, I’ve delved into the topic of Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) on behalf of one of my children in particular.
I’ve always been interested in food, because I love to eat! As a homemaker, I also cook and bake a lot. Healthy eating and nutrition have slowly become more important to me as I have seen them as paths to healing. The gut-brain connection is real, folks. In removing and changing things in my diet and my kids’, I have been able to improve some scary symptoms. Many of my posts involve these varied topics and what I’ve learned. How awesomely we’ve been created, to be sometimes so fragile and sensitive, yet resilient and capable of healing!

I was just introduced to your blog and have only read the first couple so far, but I will keep coming back 🙂 Love it — and love how you are capturing everything about what’s going on right now!
Thank you! I somehow missed your comment back in 2013 and am just now seeing it! I appreciate your kind words.
